We explored Southern Pines over the weekend. After having dinner, it was so hot I suggested ice cream to my husband. There was a little bit of a wait, but when I got up to the counter, I made sure to ask if they had homemade ice cream because I prefer it. It’s the smaller area that houses the homemade options. After tasting a few. I decided on the strawberry homemade ice cream, and it was really fresh tasting and good! The people who operate this restaurant are the epitome of a family-run small business. I brought my mother-in-law here while visiting her with my kids. She is currently in a local care facility, and the staff at the restaurant treated her like a VIP. Despite being busy, they made sure to take care of her and us, which made the visit extra special. We will definitely be coming back here whenever we visit. As for the food, I tried their house-made coffee ice cream and it was absolutely delicious! This restaurant is a wonderful local business run by genuinely kind individuals who also happen to make amazing coffee ice cream.
