Took my partner here as a change of scenery for a nice evening meal out on New Year’s Day. My meal was ok, the meat was overcooked however that can be tolerated. My partners meal came out, she ordered steak pie. Her steak pie was...slapped onto the plate, accompanied by the ridiculously tiny sliver of pastry, of which wasn’t even enough to cover the rations of meat provided. When queried the food, we were told the steak pie was ‘served out of a big dish’ and was always presented this way. I’m honestly shocked. We sent the meal back, for a new one to arrive, the steak pie was fined, pastry was fine, presentable. A lot better!! Until we realised her roast parsnip was completely undercooked and...
Popped in for some food and drinks with friends, what a fantastic wee find! It doesn’t look like much from the outside but once you get down the stairs into the bar, it’s not what you are expecting. Old and filled with lots of character,...it welcomes you in and you don’t want to leave! Great service from knowledgable staff and range of drinks on offer will have something suitable for everyone, the Ginuary deals were amazing! Live music all night which was great to see. Had some of the wee plates, don’t let the name fool you, they are deceptively big for what you pay and very tasty. Can’t wait to come back!
Visited here on Sunday and wasn't overly impressed . staff were just standing about . there was no urgency about them to take my food or drink order I assumed there was table service not like a chain pub .(place wasn't busy went...to bar to get a member of staff There was also two manager/ supervisor types dressed in scruffy outdoor clothes who were angry looking and you could see just didn't want to be there Food was actually good Will give another try when back up next month Service and a smile hopefully
The food and beer was good but the service was strange. When we arrived we weren’t sure if we should wait to be seated or just find a seat, and the overall food ordering and paying situation was confusing. Otherwise they have a good range...of beers on tap, and the food was nice. The risotto was tasty but a bit dry, but the mashed potato and buttered cabbage were delicious.

Went there for countless meals with family and out drinking with mates good food friendly staff definitely recommend to anyone looking for a Hidden gem in Aberdeen. me and family went there for the Bell's live music and nice atmosphere had a great time
Showed to our table which was booked online, drinks brought over quickly, great tapas style food we ordered which was delicious, just what we needed prior to our outing to Aberdeen game at Pittrodrie. Lovely atmosphere good service will be back
Visited here with family while visiting the city. Nice selection of beers and whisky, really good atmosphere and live music. What's not to like!
Really like this place, full of character. Been here for food and drinks. Staff nice and friendly, good service.

Excellent atmosphere in pub like setting...husband had Haggis, I had fish and chips...felt right at home!
Went in later in evening to meet friends . was busy also live music good bar service, will return here .
