The Keg Steakhouse & Bar

We accidentally made a reservation for 5 instead of six at 4:15 (the only time they said we could get in). Upon arrival we were told we?d need to wait until 9:30 for a table that could handle six. Apparently there was no way to seat us. My aunt and uncle bowed out because it was my brother?s birthday. Dinner was ok, but not great. The sad thing is that in the 2 hours we were there, we were virtually alone in the room where we were seated. It wasn?t booked. Clearly. It kind of ruined the night. Later the manager asked if everything was ok, and he seemed nice, but I didn?t mention it. I?m Karening-out here instead. I know it?s cowardly. The hostess wasn?t very nice. Visited on Easter Monday (April 18 at 4pm) for a table of two. I cannot remember his name; however, our server was exceptional. I hope the details provided can pass along a thank you to him. He made our evening out for dinner a pleasant experience! In addition, our appetizers and main courses were wonderfully prepared and delicious. As a visitor from Edmonton, it was an excellent evening at The Keg- better than my experiences in a bigger city location! Thank you!

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The server was very knowledgeable about celiac disease and cross contamination. She went above and beyond by checking with the manager to ensure my meal would be gluten-free. The appetizers were clearly marked as gluten-free, and my main meal was brought out separately and clearly identified as gluten-free. I felt very safe and satisfied with my dining experience. I was very impressed.

We had the prime rib and the sirloin Oscar, and both were delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back
