We stayed here for a few nights, the first night we had an amazing waitress (Maddy) who was very helpful and worked with the kitchen to ensure my husbands meal was gluten free as he is coeliac. She was lovely and made sure we stayed hydrated after a day out hiking. The food was great and the wine was delicious. The following morning the service wasn't so good and the food was average, however our final morning we were served by a lady who gave my husband regular bread with his breakfast and then said we hadn't advised her of his allergy - I'm sure anybody who suffers from coeliac disease knows that this is the first thing mentioned when dining out and breakfast was no exception. We went there with a group of 30 and the meal was preordered. We the rib eye steak which was slowly cooked over two ours and seasoned. It was roasted before that cooking so it had the crust one expects from a rib eye steak. It was made to request exactly, medium to medium well done. The taste was outstanding. The seasoning which was black and with beer was outstanding too. It had the appearance of a dark beer or soda sauce but the taste was otherworldly !!! I have eaten at The Keg in Toronto before and these chains are popular haunts across Canada. This particular Keg was not as good as the one in Toronto but suited the Banff scene as a family and tourist restaurant. Our meal was good but would probably not go back there if we were to visit again. I had ribs and shared these with my daughter who was not overly hungry. Hubby had a steak, which was nice but again nothing special.

We stayed at the Lodge for a few nights recently and had a nice evening meal our first night.the appetizers(starter) were amazing-Prawn cocktail and the nicest Brie I've ever had. We both followed on with a Ribeye steak. mine was lovely but my wife's was very chewy(both cooked medium). We had breakfast the next day too but this was not great value for money.the steakhouse is definitely worth a visit though.

We called at the last minute to change our reservation from 7pm to 7:30pm and they were very accommodating.Our table was ready when we arrived and we were greeted by our server, who was friendly and gave great service.The food was excellent. My husband said it was the best steak he's eaten (and he's had a lot of steak!)

Fantastic food, unique drink choices, drop dead views of the mountains, superior setting with extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Only disappointment was the dessert menu, nothing that tempted me beyond reading it. Would highly recommend this restaurant

Enjoyed a very nice dinner meal here. Nice casual but professional setting. Went there to try the spare ribs - didnt disappoint. My wife gave the salmon her seal of approval - pretty strong testament!! Worth a visit.

The keg chain is found in all cities of canada. The restaurants are quite elegant, the meats very good (I hear excellent, but I have tried better), the prices are average. The kindness of the staff ... it depends.

Don't have a lot to say on it, ate one breakfast at the keg in the Banff Caribou Lodge. Friendly staff, prices reasonably, food was good. Buffet looked great, but you really need to be hungry to take that on!

Great food, great service, as expected from The Keg. The ambiance was nice, there is a bus stop a few feet from the restaurant so no need to bring a car if you are staying on the main strip.
