It was out anniversary and as COVID numbers remain high, we wanted to eat outside on a patio. I called and requested a reservation for outside and the individual asked questions, did not rush me and was helpful in describing the outdoor patio seating. Being...that October 8th is our anniversary outdoor seating that was heated was important. We could not have been more pleased. Our seats were below a heater, the server, Stephanie was a pleasure. She made some recommendations when we asked and she took her time with us and generally created a welcoming attitude toward us. Later, someone came out and asked if my wife wanted a blanket. She then stated she took our reservation and that it was nic...
We visit this location maybe once or twice a year for special occasions as we know the food will always be good and service spectacular. There was a few issues with our meal last nite? One being that I was brought the wrong kind of...potatoes to what I ordered (this was rectified straight away and correct one was brought out ASAP) then my husband's rare steak was overcooked more to a medium. The manager straight away addressed this and brought out a replacement with a whole new meal. The steak was discounted off the bill as well. So all in all we can't complain as we were taken good care of and our server Kaitlin was fantastic. Very bubbly and personable and very apologetic for the mistakes....
I happened to find myself alone at the bar top on a Friday night, at the Keg in Waterdown. Oliver and Matt were both bartending and each delivered top notch service every step of the way. They were friendly and attentive, offering great product knowledge...regarding food and wine. They called me by name often and truly made my experience very enjoyable. The French onion soup was hot and tasty, and the rib eye was cooked to perfection. They tailored my vegetable choices, and recommended a great cab to go with my meal. Whether you are alone or with a group, I would recommend the service of these two awesome bartenders. Thank you for a great night! Kevin
One Lockdown year ago, we celebrated our 53rd anniversary with the Keg Celebration Kit. Another Lockdown year, and for our 54th anniversary, we again chose the Keg. Prices have gone up, quality is the same, with fewer 'perks '. (last year we got the Keg Steak...sauce and a new container of Keg spices). Everything is included (although ours was missing the whipped butter), and the directions are explicit and the details are excellent. The portions are generous and the filets were tender and moist. The cherry cheesecake had to be set aside for the next night 's treat. A good choice if one can 't dine out legally or safely.
Last weekend my wife I ordered the prime rib.... I will say the service was excellent, bread was hot/fresh. Sides double baked potato and veggies were spot on....HOWEVER... both our prime ribs looked like they had been made the day before... the sides were...grey in color, meat was actually tasteless and it looked very unappealing. IF i ever go back I will order made to order ONLY. I choose not to bring it to the attention of a Manager because my wife doesnt like to make a scene.... Good Luck....
Because of Covid-19 we got a takeaway. I find it expensive for the amount quality of the food. My hubby had the roast chicken. The tiniest size leg of chicken I’ve ever seen. A little salty. Accompanied by a gnocchi veg mix, way too...hard crunchy for his liking. I had a teriyaki sirloin steak with twice baked potato. Could not taste any teriyaki flavour. Steak was not tough but it was chewy. Baked potato okay, not much flavour. Certainly not worth the cost of the meal.
eating and service is always top notch and if it does not make them right! we have been regular since the day she opened, and only a few times have their problems and once especially the manager thought that eating was too slow. we had not even noticed, but they said they had to keep their chefs on their knees and take off our bill. this is a great business model!
often before. our server jessica was fantastic she was very friendly and attentive. like our food. the steak that my husband had was perfect, as well as the next-judge. I had the laughs, delicious, and the kartoffels very good....The lamenting little torte was delicious. never disappointed by kegs eating. will come back.
