We had high expectations coming for this High Tea for a birthday. Unfortunately, nothing lived up to the expectations.1. The sandwiches were stale. Certainly not fresh that day2. The scones were hard and tasteless3. A couple of the sweets were nice, but certainly not all of them.4. We were seated for over 30 minutes before any food arrived at the table. The only thing that we got before that was a bottle of champagne that was an extra charge.5. Most people were well over halfway through their food before anybody took orders for tea.6. The tea was made from a tea bag in a fairly large teapot meaning it wasn't strong enough. No idea why they gave us tea strainers if it was made with a tea bag....

Stopped in for afternoon tea at 3.30 pm, to see what delicacies were on offer in the cake cabinet. We chose two beautiful little cakes and a pot of blueberry and pomegranate tea, as well as a pot of single estate, Assam tea. The service from the Manager was exceptional and he looked after us very well. Service was quick and efficient. The decor was exciting with a Christmas Tree and lots of sparkle and an amazing, large, real, Ginger Bread House covered in edible sweets. A treasure to behold. We took my niece for a Chocolate High Tea for her 21st birthday & we had a lovely time. Everything was set up for us when we arrived in a nice area of the lounge by the windows. After mentioning the occasion when booking, the top plate had a Happy 21st Birthday message written in chocolate for the Birthday Girl...such a sweet touch!The presentation & the cakes were all exquisite, the tea, coffee & hot chocolate great & the service was impeccable - 5 star all the way.I should add that the price was also more reasonable than any of the other Sydney Hotels High Tea, at $62 for two people (champagne costs extra), we thought the whole experience was excellent value & highly recommended!

The place is pretty nice and casual, was here for my birthday lunch. tried the mad hatter hightea looked amazing, savoury dishes were quite nice and different. However found something in my dessert which at first thought it was hair but waiter advised it was a piece of brush, quite disappointed and at that point was turned off by my dessert. Regardless hair or not she was trying to justify herself but i shouldn't find anything in my dessert. Service was also disappointing there was a new person but was getting instructed and told off by collegue in front of us which was quite unprofessional. Gran lugar justo al lado del puerto, lo suficientemente amable en los cascos. Un poco más esperaba, ya que las hamburguesas saltaron de la noche a la mañana de 12 a $ 20 dólares, pero ahora con fritas francesas (los azules eran) y los $ 8 adicionales no valen la pena. Beautiful food, extremely disappointing service and venue. Waited over 1 hour for our food and almost 1.5 hrs for our tea. A 2 hour afternoon ended up spending 4 hours there. The worst experience was the staff misplacing my credit card for 40 minutes and not informing me.... Will definitely not be going back. There are many other fabulous venues for High Tea in Sydney with professional service staff.

such a top location, overlooking the harbour and area,great snack menu and the best cocktails around, good prices for this 5* venue top bar snacks and great staff a must try if you are visiting sydney, sit outside in a dome or heated lounge, winter here, but super warm and inviting, if you don't come here you have missed the best spot in Sydney

Quite a lot of nice treats are offered in this chocolate themed High Tea, although the theme "chocolate" doesn't come through all too well. On booking, there was mention of the treats being inspired by Anna Polyviou, but that may no longer be the case. At times the staff were a bit inattentive. this Bar and Lounge is a perfect spot for a casual meal or bite to eat. There are a lot of shareable options and each dish is very well presented. As expected, the prices are quite high for the kind of food you get. Nevertheless, it is a good dining experience.

I went here for my birthday lunch. The food was amazing especially the Anna’s winter mess desert. What a fantastic place and Anna Polyviou is so talented and such a nice person. Will definitely go back for a high tea.
