As a takeaway regular I saw a seat was available so sat in for a coffee with my son and said I would get a takeaway to take home when we were ready. I was in the middle of drinking my coffee when the owner came over and said was I ready for my takeaway. I believe he wanted rid of us , as people he clearly felt were more worthy of a seat than us came in. Yet a man on his own was sitting reading a paper just , was not practically told to leave. I found this offensive, as it is a rare occurrence for me to get time to sit in for a coffee here but clearly I am not wanted ,so I will after many years especially supporting the place regularly through both lockdowns take my business elsewhere. I frequently visit this restaurant for takeout food and occasionally for dining in for soup or coffee. Patrick and his team are always friendly and attentive. The food is simple, tasty, and always fresh, with the occasional delicious cake available. It is important for towns like Inverurie to have establishments like this and to support local businesses during difficult times. The Kilted Frog serves as a vital meeting place and contributes to the community. Well done, Kilted Frog! And Moose enjoys his ham just as much as I enjoy my coffee!

During my visit to Inverurie, I decided to stop by this restaurant for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and the excellent service. The pastries and quiche were especially amazing and I highly recommend trying them. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very unique and adds to the overall dining experience. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

Although the sit-in area is no longer available, Patrick's renovated shop and service remain a crucial part of the town. They offer excellent coffee, freshly baked goods, and a variety of deli items. Saturday morning pit stop, coffee, bun, something nice for the wife and a little ham as a treat for the dogs, what’s not to like a freshly made scone and some Red Leicester all served up by a hard working Frenchman who tries his best to offer his customers something special well done !

Superb small coffee shop with a great offering of cuisine or home bakes. (Lemon and lime cake is beautiful). Delicatessen has a super offering of cheese etc not to be found elsewhere locally. Not to be missed but if I don't get a seat there because of this review I'll be miffed

WE joined our daughter who always has a coffee and pastry to start her Friday and today we can see why. We popped back later to get our lunch and the selection was amazing. Every time we are visiting Inverurie in future we will visit the Kilted Frog for a take away.

Popped in today with a friend, for the first time. Great atmosphere, love the quirky decor. First class service and first class food. Lovely deli, had to buy a few bits whilst I was there. Highly recommended Reserva una mesa ahora

First time visit for years had a portion of sweet potato fries they had been out for ages very rubbery and only look warm coffee was ok.

We had been told about this cafe and we were not disappointed as the quiche and home baking could not be better.
