Sorry but our experience differs. We went in for a meal on a Thursday evening. They were not serving food as no-one else had bought meals that day and our dog was unwelcome in the bar, even though their website says he is.....avoid this place and drive a little further to the very welcoming bricklayers arms.

We both had the Sunday Lunch. The medium portion at £10. One Turkey one Beef. Portions sizes were perfect. Lovely accompanying vegetables. Freshly cooked. The most fantastic gravy ever. The welcome from all the staff and the friendly service was a highlight. Highly recommended.

The food was ok, must have been a specials evening as not much to choose from. They seemed understaffed and busy, service after we got our food was poor. The chips were excellent, possibly a new season local potato, the desserts were also very good.

Yet again another superb experience at this lovely country pub. We have a warm welcome each time we go and Charlie our dog gets a treat. Great hosts and very accommodating with excellent food. Our go to pub for dinner. From the Julie gang.

Absolutely marvellous plates of fish and chips. Lovely beer battered cod and haddock. The chips weren’t too shabby either. Home made not the commercial ones. Would highly recommend to anyone.
