we visited this pub on Thursday evening, the 10th august, for a meal with family and friends who were all in wellesbourne for the high time of a friend. our booking was for 7.15 clock after a very long wait our starters finally arrived at 8.35 and our main course at 8.55 clock. our group consisted of 5 adult and 3 young children, so when the food arrived, it was time that the children were in bed, and the rest of the group wanted to come back to our hotel to the other high-time guests. the debt was not the personal that worked in the pub. .The two young waitresses ran back and forth and took the customer's food and were both very polite and very apologetic about the delay. the management sho...
The soup starter was decent, but the main course was a huge letdown. We ordered the Taglieteli with asparagus, broccoli, baby spinach, and mint and basil pesto, but only one out of the two dishes had broccoli in it. The broccoli included the tough part of the stem that should have been removed as it was too difficult to eat. Additionally, the dish lacked spinach and the Taglieteli itself was bland, tasting like plain pasta. While I appreciate the effort to offer a vegan menu, perhaps the restaurant should focus on a few quality dishes rather than offering a larger selection with mediocre results. It's time to go back to basics and execute dishes well.
suppenstarter was ok, but the main course was a total disappointment. taglieteli with spargel, brocolli, baby spinat and minze and basilikum pesto only 1 of 2 we had ordered brocolli in him, the one who also had the hard part of the stiel that should have been discarded as it was too hard to eat, also had not had spinat, the taglieteli was unseasoned and tasted as simple pasta with nothing on him, do they recognize the attempt to offer a vegan menu, but perhaps better focus on a few good dishes than a larger and mediocre offer? time to base again and do the good
it was very busy, mothering Sunday, but there was not enough staff, eating was very good, but not very hot and waiting between the curses let them off. we waited 1 hour after the storm. the personal was very nice and apologetic, but a few less bookings makes a better service and happy customers. our table was ready, but later bookings were a little fretful.

last Sunday we have eaten another excellent roasted food. would also recommend the mini desserts. the service was very friendly and extended the occasion. it will not last long until the king sees us again.
the kings head now has a great vegan menu offering many options. I especially like the curry, the Veg-Terte is also great, but could contain with some chips or veg on the side. puddings are really good
