5 stars throughout the day! I have been here for years and it is always a friendly, warm welcome with excellent food and huge portions. to see that they no longer serve “the whale”, but it is likely for the best! I have pushed out the boat with this meal a few too many paints (if they will pardon the point).

This was a party of 4 on a return visit for a mid-week lunch. All were determined to try something different from the to die for fish and ships but alas all failed. As usual we were not disappointed. It will be hard to find better if what you are looking for is a good Pub lunch cooked to order,

the view from the pub are amazing, beautiful location, well maintained and full character. the food was great, good with friendly staff. I'll be back next time.

beautiful old pub on the coast, good food, pleasant atmosphere. ideal start and/or finish for a walk to the lighthouse.
