The Kitchen Thorpeness

This restaurant offers delicious and affordable food in a lovely open-air setting with both indoor and outdoor seating options. It's perfect for social distancing. The breakfast menu is extensive, featuring options like egg and mushroom on toast and a sausage and egg bun that were both delicious. However, the coffee was not impressive, tasting bitter and burnt - similar to airport coffee. Despite this, I highly recommend visiting as everything else was fantastic. Keep in mind that it can get very busy during the summer months, so arrive early. The staff is friendly and attentive.

It was refreshing to see a restaurant that is able to effectively manage the current challenges in the hospitality industry regarding staffing shortages. The staff were attentive to cleanliness and were polite and courteous. The food and drinks were served in a timely manner, even though the restaurant was moderately busy. The dining experience was enjoyable, albeit a bit pricey. Nevertheless, it's understandable as it is vacation time. Overall, the meal was worth the cost.

I stopped here for a quick break after walking 4 miles from Aldeburgh to Thorpeness. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff were efficient and friendly. The coffee was great and reasonably priced, which is not always the case these days.

Coffee shop and antique shop share the overall space. Good coffee and cakes and looking at other tables the food looked nicely presented and freshly prepared. We'll worth a stop to recharge the batteries. Reserva una mesa ahora

The best value ice cream serving in the area with fab flavours as well. Car park next door is reasonable for visiting the beach or the Meare. Great walks through the village too.

Nice coffee however the spiced squash soup could have been hotter in temperature. I will of course return as otherwise a great place with lots of menu choices.

I had a delicious pizza for lunch that was very generous in size, perfect for sharing.
