The Lady Killigrew

I love a trip to the Killigrew for the comfortable, cozy ambiance and the tasty food. The dining area overlooks the river, and there is outdoor seating for fair weather days. Although there are only a few vegan items on the menu, I love them all and do not tire of ordering them. My favorite is usually the warm brown rice salad, but I also adore the sandwich that has tofu, peanut sauce and sauerkraut (who knew that would be such a delectable combination) that comes with a side salad. Each meal is sizable, filling and delicious. Can we get the description updated? The udon noodles and the tofu sandwich both have a peanut sauce with contains honey. If they updated the recipe of the sauce this place would be a lot more vegan friendly. We got the warm rice salad with tofu but it would have been nice to have multiple options. We also had a vanilla cupcake but it was very dry.

We tried this place after a few hours of x-country skiing and speaking with some locals! Previous reviews about few veg options not accurate! They'll change if you ask! We had great service great food and it is a magical place to eat. I almost didn't write a review because it is best if the place doesn't become too popular! Oh yes. Not expensive!

I had visited this place often before I was vegan and when I was still student, it didn't change a bit. three stars not because of the lack of atmosphere and overall cozyness, but because it really only 2 vegan options. we had the tofu sandwich and the peanut Udon were both great!
