The Lakes Boatshed Cafe

We decided to have breakfast here after a recommendation from the Caravan park we were staying at. We ordered 1 person (table of 3) after my brother in law. We waited and waited for our food, my brother and sister in law had finished there breakfast and then my sister in law went to check, the lady replied behind her back (people just need to learn to wait!) We were then told our food is just being plated up no problems with that until 10 minutes later still no food. So I went to check as it had been about an hour by now since ordering and the table of 6 who ordered after me had finished there breakfast and no one could find our order docket. I completely understand mistakes happen but when...

We had a coffee with a vanilla slice, which was great, the previous day then decided to go for breakfast the next day. It was a lovely sunny morning and we took a seat outside, to take in the view. Soon after ordering our tea and coffee came out, followed shortly by breakfast of bacon, eggs on toast. The eggs were cooked to perfection. We couldn't fault the meal. Only criticism was the table was a bit grubby with some jam and hair stuck onto it.

We stopped here for a late breakfast on our way out of the area. Fabulous fine, the food was great, generous serves, well cooked and delivered without any fuss. The empty plates disappeared without us even noticing - will definitely put this on our return list for next time.

The Lakes Boatshed is a wonderful spot to view the beautiful North Arm while enjoying your morning coffee or lunch. Family-run, charming. The flourless orange cake (made on the premises, of course) is not to be missed.

Hand the desk hand this morning, sausages, eggs, baked beans on toast. Service was friendly even thought they were very busy.
