The Lakes Sports and Community Club

When we first moved to Lakes Entrance, we ate at the Sports and Community Club, and actually paid to join as full members. Since then we have been back twice - the second time was during the busy summer period, and we were unimpressed with the meal, but put it down to the fact that a lot of the food had been pre-prepared. The third time was tonight, and we were very disappointed. We doubt that we'll go back. We had entrees and main meals. I had lamb and veg soup, and my husband had popcorn prawns. My soup came out first, and when the waitress came back to pick up my bowl I had to ask what had happened to my husband's prawns which were also supposed to be an entree. She brought them out then...

We were seated fast and the service was very good. The waiters are fast and very friendly. The food was good - huge menu of Western and a seperate Asian menu. The Asian serves are very large, a single dish and a small rice side dish will easily feed two. The pepper beef was great. Kids fish and chips was fresh and well cooked. Typical pub fare is also available. The decor is bright and modern, for what it is this is a nice place for a family meal.

We stayed at Lakes for 3 days, we ate at this club twice and it is very nice offering Chinese and western food, it is table service and you don't leave hungry. I would recommend this for a good night out and They have pokies. The staff are very friendly and helpful in both the dining room and the bar. We just walked in but I think on long weekends and school holidays you have to book.

Very disappointed with our meals. We ordered chicken parma. You would think you cant get that wrong but they did. Ćhopped ham in little cubes terrible sauce. We also ordered pea and ham soup it was yuck. Very bland it just tasted like mushed up tin peas. Reserva una mesa ahora

The meals were pleasant but didn't reflect price except for kids meals good value. customer service was really good though with bringing kids meals out very fast also had a fantastic play ground for the kids

The western style meals are basic pub meals with chips and salad. Chinese reminded me of the old style chinese food which to me is not appetising. servie and amenites are very good.

Very busy Mother's Day meal came out quick I think pre cooked a lot of it salad on a Asian dish of pork belly not a good combo won ton nice my fried rice was just cooked very nice

Recommended by the Holiday Park, the food was a huge selection of Asian and Western cuisines. I had the chicken schnitzel and salad. Cooked to perfection. Reserva una mesa ahora

We had a meal there that was ok but the service was fairly slow, the facilities were quite nice particularly for a small club

Was very busy, 2 big tables of seniors when we arrive. Meals were great. Alas I can't remember what we had.
