My family of four, including two young children, had a fantastic experience at The Lamplighter. The dining area has been recently renovated and provided a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were polite, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening. The food was delicious and clearly made fresh. My wife enjoyed the battered fish and chips, while I had a curry - both dishes were very tasty. We were pleased to see that the children's meals were also high quality, with chicken breast goujons instead of processed meat. The portion sizes were generous and we had a lovely evening overall. We highly recommend The Lamplighter.
Today, my party of 8 and our furry friend enjoyed Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The staff was very accommodating both when booking our reservation and during our visit. The food was scrumptious, served hot and cooked to perfection. Our dishes arrived looking appetizing, piping hot, and in generous portions. The entire staff was extremely friendly and attentive throughout our meal.
I only stayed for one night during a short trip to the Lake District, but I will definitely be returning. The reception staff were very efficient and friendly. Finding parking was a bit difficult, but we were lucky enough to snag the last space. Dinner was excellent and the made-to-order breakfast in the morning was a nice touch. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We have stayed here several times and each time we have been highly satisfied with everything. Our bedroom always warm , clean and inviting. Staff efficient and friendly and the food is amazing. Always well presented , plentiful and tasty best of all served on a hot plate! Will definitely return and recommend.

We had the most incredible Sunday lunch with James and the team. The food and service were impeccable. We were a large group of 23, and we were looked after so wonderfully. Would recommend to anyone visiting The Lakes.
