Friends and myself were lucky enough to get a table here for brunch on a very busy last Saturday (18-3-17) and were not disappointed in any way. Definitely book before coming as this place is buzzing. The food is superb and all of us, including 2 vegetarians were delighted with the quality of the food served, the lovely, friendly, welcoming staff and the excellent service, especially given how busy they were. The food was amazing! The atmosphere was cozy and friendly! Just generally- what a place!After a world class panini (the New Yorker I think it was) Simon (the owner) went above and beyond to help us with an accomodation crisis just before a wedding. With a hip, family atmosphere this cute cafe (and the people there) helped make our stay in Hobart a very memorable one... We also went for breakfast on our last morning which I (not one for overstating) think was one of the best scrambled eggs ever, with feta sprinkled throughout mmmmmSimon and Laura are legends and this cafe is not to be missed when visiting Hobart! Great coffee too!

The Lansdowne Cafe doesn't have any reason to be as good as it is - it's just a little cafe outside the city centre...but it over delivers in every way. We had lunch today and were blown away - my slow roasted lamb melted in my mouth, our kids had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and my wife had the haloumi and avocado toast, which was incredible. All of the accompanying salads were full of flavour and, to top it off, the coffee was literally the best that I've had in Tasmania.This is an incredible find - come and be enthralled by the best meal you'll have in Hobart!

Stayed at an Air B and B property in the local area and stumbled upon this little gem of a cafe. We had a breakfast of their Corn Fritters and Corn Bread French Toast and were delighted with the quality of the food. Tasted amazing and the staff were super friendly and helpful to complement this. We have had a few meals here now both breakfast and lunch. The meals are great and they have different specials on a Saturday. The staff are friendly, they make the best coffees. Highly recommend this as a place to visit

I'm staying nearby and stopped for coffee on my stroll into town. My local friends don't love it. But I think they're wrong. It looks cute, my latte was very good, staff were friendly. Exactly what I wanted.
