The Latch Inn is a hidden gem out in Sidney. We had high tea yesterday and were initially surprised by the vast selection of teas available. When the high tea arrived we were impressed by the unnovative sandwiches which used different types of breads and fillings such as smoked salmon and tomato, bocconcini and fresh basil as well as a delicious egg salad which occupied the bottom tier. The second tier was devoted to a variety of scines with accompanying strawberry preserves, all very good. The top tier had a generous sampling of several pastries. I was lucky enough to win a weekend getaway with Father's Day dinner for 2 one night's stay in this beautiful heritage building. A tranquil ocean view on one side a quiet marina on the other. I'd give it 10 stars if I could! The hospitality was awesome, the food delicious, the room amazing, and the building interior was beautifully maintained and decorated. I would definitely recommend The Latch Inn for a peaceful stay in wonderful surroundings.

This beautiful old mansion has been lovingly restored by Francis Autendyke and partners. Just seeing some of our Island's history would be reason enough to visit. Now add to that delicious fine dining, wonderfully revitalized rooms and gorgeous gardens and grounds. I just had high tea there, and it's BETTER than the Empress at an affordable price. Next time you're in Sidney, make a reservation and check it out.

Amazing view, superb food and great customer service! We went for a romantic Valentine's dinner with stay and were really impressed with everything. The 100 year-old Governor's house is very well preserved, it is luxurious, comfy and cozy. One of those places you don't wanna leave. Thank you very much to the manager Francis for everything! Hi there, We had breakfast and dinner in the Latch Inn. What a beautiful place is the Latch Inn. The Staff was very nice, professional and helpful. The food was excellent.. What a charming place to stay! The Mansion is very elegant but comfortable. The staff, particularly the new General Manager Francis, are wonderful and welcoming. Everything was fabulous!

Fantastic! The location is 2nd to none. Brought back memories. Our Sunday brunch meal was awesome! Clearly there is passion for the restaurant and Inn from the new owners.
