We visited as part of a tour checking out several historic pubs in Derbyshire and it was nice to visit the Lathkil and get a feel for the history of the place. Love the place, didn't stay but did eat outside. Really nice food and friendly bar staff to chat to. Idilic location situated on go of a hill overlooking the lathkill valley which is picturesque. Really excellent place for a short stay. Views were superb. Evening meal very good and good value. Staff friendly, Breakfast great. Room clean. Would definitely stay again. After a blistering hot walk as hot in Peaks as south of France today the Lathkil was perfect. Shade. An excellent BLT. Pint of pale ale and lime n soda. Cold water for the dog. Rehydration all round. Lovely. Location: 5
