We booked here at last minute. The hotel is beautiful, set in lovely surroundings, with views to die for. Our room, no.1 is big ,and pretty. Everything clean. Very comfortable bed, with good pillows and duvets. We booked into the restaurant for the 5 course taster menu, which was fantastic., with a good bottle of wine. There was 9 people in for dinner we were all served at the same time.Our 2 hosts , explained what each course was ,everytime we were served. It was a wonderful night.. A bit expensive, but it was for our wedding anniversary, so it was worth it. Breakfast was good also ,served in a lovely summer room with fantastic views. Hopefully we will be back. , as Keswick is my favourite...

We stayed at The Leathes Head Hotel in the middle of July and had 8 amazing days. The weather was pretty miserable and rained most days but it didn't stop us having a lovely time. The hotel is beautiful. The staff are amazing, friendly, helpful, experienced and knowledgeable not only about the hotel but the local area and mountains as well. The chef's are superb and the food they produce is fantastic. It is a very well run hotel and we loved our stay. Can't fault the accommodation, the hotel, the staff or the food. Fantastic!! However, all these issues faded into the background after dinner, which was exceptional! Be sure to reserve a table in advance. They offer a tasting menu with three different options that change daily. The staff explained each dish to us, and the menus are recommended by Michelin. The chef truly is outstanding, and I really enjoyed the meal! I also appreciated that breakfast has to be ordered the day before, preventing waste since they only serve what you requested. I absolutely loved this place! It was just a short walk to Derwent Water, where we took a ferry over to Keswick today. Yesterday, we drove to see two beautiful waterfalls, climbed a mountain, and visited another lake. Now that I’m home, I can say I had a fantastic time. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were wonderful, and my bedroom was lovely and clean. The bed was incredibly comfy, and I would definitely stay here again.
