If you are looking for drinks this is a fine establishment with great ambience. Unfortunately their dedicated "gluten free" menu is very deceiving. Almost everything on it is not edible because food is not cooked in a gf dedicated fryer. To make matters worse the staff has no clue about celiac or gluten free and I was served food that was cooked in the deep fryer, despite having conversations with the hostess about my needs and requesting to only be served gf items that were not deep fried. While the server was apologetic she did not understand the significance of stress from the incident.

Excellent service, and a wonderful bartender who made some phenomenal drinks. Our orders of French onion soup, chowder soup, and the Dublin burger were all very well prepared with the soups being the standouts. Ticket times of about 10 minutes, with very reasonable pricing for scratch made.

Beautiful inside atmosphere inside Hume Hotel. Gorgeous vintage and antique furnishings. Vegan and vegetarian options clearly labelled on menu! The vegan bowl was so delicious! My friend ordered a vegetarian mushroom ravioli. Highly recommended right off main Baker St in Nelson.

Incredibly cozy lunge definitely worth a visit. Whether you’re a guest of the Hume or just passing through Nelson. Make sure to stop by the historic hotel and enjoy this heritage bar and lounge. The staff are friendly and the beverages amazing!

Like others have mentioned, the menu can be misleading as some items labeled gluten-free are not actually safe. Make sure to confirm with your server, however, they do offer a few tasty gluten-free options.

Went there for brunch, the place was empty which got us wondering why. Anyway, we stayed and ate, ended up leaving hungry. The food is good but the portions are tiny for what you spend, not great value.
