The Little Ale House

This is a stripped back kind of place, with only the essentials: seats, tables, convivial atmosphere, and most importantly of all, good ale. The real ales are all in casks stacked up behind the bar, in the same way as you'd find at a beer festival. They have a good range of ale, some which I'd tried before, and some rarer brews. There is no jukebox, no loud music, no fruit machine and no food (except perhaps the odd bar snack). Heaven! If you're not a fan of ale, then this might not be for you although I think they do serve cider, and if you're lucky perhaps a glass of wine. But this place is really about the beer, and it does this extremely well.

Second visit, last time was over a year ago. Long gap between visits as don 't live in the area so was looking forward to a second visit as the first was good. It didn 't disappoint this time. A local ale, 'half cut ' was tipple of choice on this occasion. Why not 5 stars surprised that all ales were pale to mid and not anything ruby like on offer. 4 stars feels harsh and 4.5 would be truer score, if available. This isn 't a quaint old Inn with beams and roaring fires BUT it is a very good ale house where everyone there is keen on their beer so folks to talk with if you drop in on your own. Looking forward to a 3rd visit!

A nice little micro brewery with comfortable benches, smart bar stools, a blue leather sofa and some kegs converted as stools. Bar snacks also available. No problems to try before you buy. Not too many to choose from, which suits most folks as too many ales cause confusion and slow the bar service down. The first one I tried was good enough to quickly order a pint: Hobsons dark ale, a pleasant dark nutty ale that can be enjoyed all year round!

Situated in the middle of Bromsgrove right opposite the Maekong Thai Restaurant this is a simply furnished beer lovers haven. With up to 9 selected beers on cask every visit there is something for every palate. There are the usual savoury nibbles but also Scotch Eggs and Pies to soak up the beer. You are also welcome to fetch a takeaway and eat it in the bar. Sometimes referred to as the RAB or Real Ale Bar by locals, be sure to give it a try. Reserva una mesa ahora

Just a perfect place for a pint and a chat. No frills, no fuss, no music and no slots just good beer, cider and conversation. Bring your dog if you have one and ignore the one star reviews, anything less than The Savoy is not good enough for some.

My wife and I dropped in for a pre curry beer and everything about the place was wonderful. The staff were friendly and efficient the atmosphere was great and the beer was excellent. What more could you ask for.

Lovelly small micro pub with great, friendly owners and proper real ales. Seems to attract friendly customers who will speak and chat to. A range of constantly changing ales! Love this pub!

Awful service from a grubby rude landlord with questionable personal hygiene. Avoid if you do not wish to go home feeling like you need a shower.
