The Little Rendezvous

Where should I start? My daughter mentioned that this place has a 9.1 rating on Barstool, so I knew I had to give it a try. We showed up on a Thursday night, which could have been an issue since it’s primarily a carry-out pizza spot. The typical wait for phone orders is around two hours. However, these guys are incredibly efficient and friendly! We did have to wait a little, but it was entertaining to watch the whole operation in action. As a fun side note, my daughter and her roommate had been locked out of their apartments, so what started as a disappointing night turned into an impromptu pizza party! And the pizza…

Dave Portnoy of Barstool gave The Little Rendezvous Pizza a 9.1 rating on @barstoolsports so we decided to get some pizza after our hike down here in CT. Definitely not a floppy pizza and the crust was wicked crunchy, and the cheese and toppings never fell off! We devoured these 2 pizzas between the 4 of us!! One bite everyone knows the rules. The sauce lacks flavor, and the crust is quite dull. The cheese has an overpowering parmesan taste, which detracts from the overall experience. The flavor is disappointing, and the texture resembles that of a frozen pizza cooked in a toaster oven. I would rate it a 7.1 instead of a 9.1.

This place definitely lived up to my expectations! The chef consistently creates nearly perfect pizzas every time. Whenever I'm nearby, I can't resist stopping in. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.
