In the afternoon, my friends and I went to a Peaky Blinders themed tea at the restaurant lobby. We found it difficult to see the connection to the PB theme, besides the fact that we were served black tea. We began with a unique cocktail that had an interesting flavor combination. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious cakes that were served. The service was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time chatting. Overall, we felt that the experience was worth it.
Despite my online booking, and an e-mail and text confirmation along with me that they will call 3 times and be promised a recall, they did not expect us for afternoon tea. Instead of sending us a way when we traveled a fair distance, they did their best to accommodate us. For what we recieved it was OK on taste, but for value and service it was appalling.
really tasty afternoon teast a selection of cocktail ( served in the teekanne! to accompany our beautiful cloby filled cucumber, cheese pickle and fresh salmon sandwiches, two warm obstspoons with each with a much dipped cream and jam and a whole selection of cakes to finish (we had to take this with us home as we were filled!) that was just on the floor
the personal was attentive, the choice was good, but it was prepared in advance, the scones that were warm to touch, but cold in the middle, everything was cold refrigerator after the service, this meant to spread the cream etc. on the scorpses. the jam was very sweet. we would go back, as overall it was a pleasant experience. nice eating and very helpful waitress, but they didn't expect us. we were told that this booking service had not transmitted the information. the plus page was that everything was freshly made, as they had no other afternoon bookings.
big eating had a peaky blinder afternoon tee really special, are stockings so very friendly and when they have eaten everything they can still have a disc cake to eat excellent time
New place in the lobby of the Holiday Inn (the clue's in the name, which I didn't realise ).
