Out with Rochelle for dining on December 1, 2023 after working. The Christmas atmosphere was a blaze. The red, green colors grace the path to the Lobby. We ordered and proceeded with the bread and butter course. A trio was playing and they took a brake; a young boys place his fingers on the ivory and he went classical. This was most refreshing and changed the atmosphere. Yes, we were waiting on the appetizers when a birthday party adjacent to table started to ramp up. This was our third time dining at the Lobby. Our first experience in Oct '23 was outstanding (food, service, ambiance, live music, etc) which is why we returned for a holiday dinner with another couple in early December that was disastrous. But, we figured that perhaps they were having an off night, so tried it again on New Years. Although the food, like the Dec visit, was again average (warm lattes and soup not hot), the carpet looked as if it wasn 't vacuumed in days, considering all the food debris that was present and the service was sub standard. Not at all what one would expect from the Peninsula.

Holiday tea, our family tradition was the absolute best this year at The Lobby. The decor is spectacular, live holiday music, Santa and Mrs. Claus create a most memorable experience. Our service was provided by Umberto who is professional and also enhanced our visit with the best service I have had (speaking as a restaurant owner of 40+ years). Food presentation is beautiful and all items were delicious. Definitely our favourite holiday tea!

Not the Peninsula it used to be. Chicken nuggets were dry like frozen nuggets. Fish and chips tasteless. Burger sad sad looking burger. Server did not even ask what tea we wanted. We have been dining at the Peninsula for more than a decade. It was our 2nd kitchen. Standards have fallen and quality of food sub par for a 5 star hotel. What a disappointment. Service was poor. Restaurant understaffed. Sat for 25 minutes before anyone approached us. Cocktails were warm, bread rolls cold and food just average. Surprising and disappointing. (Decorations for the holidays were gorgeous.

Enjoyed breakfast here several mornings while staying at the Peninsula Hotel. Friendly service and welcoming staff. Nice breakfast options along w coffees and tea. Really recommend their take on Huevos Rancheros. Delicious ?

Food was mediocre compared to reviews. Management spent more time observing the waitstaff instead of helping them; genuinely felt bad for our overwhelmed waiter. Ambiance was great. Wished for a better experience!

The best restaurant I have ever known, the food is spectacular, the service is phenomenal, and the place is very beautiful... I want to thank all the staff for all the good service, I really enjoyed everything Reserva una mesa ahora

Love holiday decorations at the Lobby. Children love all the decorations and festive. We were expecting Santa to be there. Please have parties for kids with Santa that is affordable for all. Thanks!!

Worst service I've ever experienced, took our waitress 20 minutes to greet us and another 20 to take order and brought our bill and never came back to run a card we had to bring to hostess.
