A new kid on the block in Teignmouth. Very impressive decor....like nothing I have seen before. Very tastefully and expensively done to meticulous detail. Every gin under the sun seems to be behind the bar! And they do unusual beers and lagers. The guy who runs it for the Crabshack restaurant certainly knows his gins and was very knowledgeable and certainly knew his business ....It's not cheap but that's part of its charm. And it will keep a certain clientele at distance!! Not totally finished behind the scenes but even the men's toilet had a classy wash hand basin. This was the most amazing experience. First of all the actual place building in which the restaurant is housed is nothing more than a run down house/pub. Rough brickwork ect. This adds to the atmosphere. You have to visit yourself to understand how this works for the whole experience. The cocktail menu is awesome. The barmaid/mixologist knows her stuff. Again just go and experience what she can do. I have only experienced such talent in London venues previously. Now as for the food. Top quality produce prepared and cooked by a young chef who also knows his stuff. We were a table of 4 and sampled between us the majority of the Tapas menu. Wow is all I can say. Such a Spanish/Mexican influence...
great ambiente, attentive service, smashing drinks selection and tasty eating. when we arrived in the lobster lounge, we met our limit of fishing and chips and baked and torn eating with a nuance. not great knower of cocktails, we chose a led gin and tonic and a safe cocktail and orange juices for the children. we were delighted with the results; every drink came with a dried fertilizer that was delicious. we choose 10 of the tapas plates to divide between four. we enjoyed the solid Mediterranean aromas; the fries with truffles went a tasty bite while our son enjoyed the goat cheese, truffle honey and beet root plate as we were told when we ordered the teller came how they were finished whil...
