The last time I was at the Local was 2018 and the service was SO BAD. I also work in the service industry so I try to always give places the benefit of doubt. I went in today and also had a horrible experience! It wasn’t busy at all so I cant say what we experienced was because of apparent staffing issues. First off, we walk in to the host stand it smells like body odor. I figured it was a staff person nearby and don’t think too much of it. It is unseasonably warm outside. We go deeper into the restaurant and the entire place reeks of body odor!! We had to wait forever for our server to appear. Our waiter was very nice, and so was the rest of the staff. But the food was underwhelming. My wife got the steak and mushroom pie. Hers was good, but nothing gourmet considering the price. Mine, however, was bad. I got the corned beef and cabbage dinner. It was the worst corned beef I've ever had. Normally there is some fat on the outside, but the meat is otherwise fat free and easy to pull apart. There should be a lot more good and edible meat compared to fat in the portion served. What I got was almost entirely fat. What meat there was, it was intertwined with the fat and nearly inedible, especially if you're like me and hate the texture of fat and can't eat it. The collaboration with Andrew, the marketing coordinator at Cara Pubs was an amazing experience. Coordination with our organization, the establishment of events, guide drinks specialties and organize the pub for the most efficient use. We are able to bring 50 members per week for football events/views. So excited that The Local is running, and our direct partner. Andrew was indispensable for our success this season. We look forward to continuing and building this relationship.
This place is very cool and the food was great! We went to a work lunch and enjoyed some appetizers and drinks at our main menu. We sat in a cool little stand that gave our party some intimacy. It made the experience and experience and not just another restaurant. Everyone loved their meals and clear their plates. Only something they should improve is always unique alcohol (Vodkas and Gins like Affe 47), as they have such unique whisky offerings. I'd go back to my next visit!

Positives: Affordable, delicious i liked my steak vegetable pie. My friend liked her baked Mac Cheese, and the baked pretzel was tasty. The kids' tray was nicely prepared. The prices in general were affordable. The outside seating area was very nice. Negatives: kids Mac Cheese was a waste of money, barely had any cheese. As a parent I expect restaurants to prepare kids meals at the same quality level as the grown up version of it. Beware: they add an 18% tip automatically.
Food and atmosphere were good. Appeared to be some confusion with us ordering with the qr code and service was friendly but not great. Never received some things like extra silverware or a glass for a beer that were requested. We also ordered an iced tea at the beginning, had to ask for it later, didn't receive it until our food was almost gone, and were still charged full price for it.
Large selection of Irish staples from scratches! Also an equally impressive selection of drinks and beers! Our waitress was very friendly and friendly and had some great recommendations for what to get. Finally, I can't overstand how beautiful all old woodwork and architecture was in the restaurant. Great environment,service and food! The pot pie was great! And the cheese cake was my absolute favorite!

Always a go-to when in Minneapolis. Great oub food and beer with friendly wait staff.
