why is that when I find a fabulous restaurant, whenever I am miles from home? this restaurant is excellent. the friends we were with were already there before and could not wait to visit it again and I neither. all choices were interesting, from a starter of stacked haggis, neeps and tatties with a whisky sauce to another of garnel, salmon and avocado, which has no influence on a prawn cocktail at all. the nets were superlatiw. guess what? I had no place for dessert, but I wish I had. we visited the loft before we caught up the caledonian sleeper. the meal is almost made for the trip on the threshold!

We were recommended to visit this fantastic restaurant by our B&B hosts at Ptarmigan House in Blair Atholl, Scotland, located on the A9 to the northwest of Edinburgh. The Loft was beautifully decorated and the food was outstanding. I ordered the trout with mashed potatoes and vegetables, which was delicious. My husband had the rib eye steak, which was also fantastic. The sauces and seasonings were perfectly balanced. Every dish that came out of the kitchen looked amazing. The chef deserves a lot of credit for their wonderful cooking skills.

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was incredible, the service was lovely, and the atmosphere was nice. We chose this restaurant to celebrate my 50th birthday, and it surpassed our expectations. After reading the reviews, we can confirm that they were accurate - The Loft is a fantastic restaurant and provides a lovely dining experience. We highly recommend it.

the loft was worth the short drive from pitlochery! the eating was fantastic (fried brie-need I say more) . I also need to rave over the steak pee and nave loved the venison. our server was attentive, it was quiet and relaxing and thanks to them I found out where I can buy whisky cream! It's rare that I give a review on a restaurant, but I just had a meal that was so well done I had to say something. My wife and I just left The Loft and we finished everything on our plates. I had the rib eye and she had trout. We also had desert. Everything was great and the service was very good, prompt I must say.

We have dined at this restaurant numerous times, often with large groups. The food, service, staff, and owners are excellent. They are always attentive and provide a fine dining experience without any stuffiness. It is consistently perfect. We highly recommend it! Even my picky children enjoy it.

Had been recommended to go here and we were glad to have been. An interesting well balanced menu with mainly some very well executed dishes but also some staples to keep the less adventurous or younger diners happy. Service was relaxed and friendly. Definitely now added to our local list.

Nice spot but the food was pretty ordinary. I thought we had (sorry! woken up in the 70s with prawn cocktails etc on the menu! That said, we were looked after, and the service was great. Service was great. Food was average but plentiful. The prawn/avocado/smoked salmon starter was very good along with the lavender crème brûlée. But the cod was well cooked, but not spectacular, and the venison fillet was tough.

Great food great service. Highly recommend. Catering for vegetarian’s too. Nothing was too much bother. Nice atmosphere in a lovely setting.
