My wife and I had breakfast for the first time this morning at the 'Longholme Cafe '. We were very impressed by the overall set up, with seating outside and in. They are definitely covid friendly, providing overhead patio heaters and blankets to keep you warm if you wish to use them. The service given was attentive and informal without being overbearing. I ordered the 'Longholme Hash ' which was tasty and perfectly seasoned. My wife ordered the brioche bun with a free range egg and smoked bacon, which she enjoyed and said was very tasty. Having tried and been impressed with the overall package at the Longholme Cafe, we shall certainly return.
I LOVE The Longholme! Tom and Andreas have transformed Bedford river and made it an absolute joy to walk around again, knowing there is an amazing cafe with delicious food and drink and excellent service en route. I’m a huge fan and love stopping in for brunch/lunch/a cake pit stop or just to grab a takeaway coffee for the walk. The evening events are great fun too, loved the outdoor cinema experience and hope to come to another again soon. I also love how dog friendly you are, looking after the pooches with water and biscuits, my dog is a loyal fan too! Thank you for making walks around the river a real treat!

I ordered the longholme hath,' which was delicious and perfectly fed. my wife ordered the Brioche-Back with a free egg and smoked speck she enjoyed and said was very delicious. After we have tried and impressed the whole package in the longholme cafe, we will surely return.
We have always frequented the 'Boating Lake ' cafe when on our cycle rides!! First time yesterday at the new 'upmarket ' Longholme Cafe very elegantly refurbished love the courtyard esp for those with young children( lots of activities for them) a good view of boating lake from the new enclosed area! Lovely food,friendly service!!!!! Well certainly be returning on a regular. said and will be telling our friends family!!! Well done to the new owners, wishing you great success!

A fantastic place in the heart of Bedford which is an ideal place to stop whilst walking your dog and they are very accommodating for dogs and are always willing to cook an extra sausage for my little dog. The staff are happy and friendly and an asset to the business. I wish them well x
Fantastic cafe next to the river and boating lake in Bedford. Better than average food and drinks and great staff. Partially open air, with heaters if necessary. Can't recommend highly enough. PS Cakes are brill too
Best coffee for miles and reasonable prices.... does get very busy, but worth the wait. Lucky if you can get a front line seat and look.... the swans have babies to oow at!
Love this little place to go to after a walk along the beautiful Embankment. The staff are friendly and welcoming, they always have seasonal things going on for all ages.

Had a very nice lake side lunch with my cousin, had a bacon sandwich with a very tasty tomato-garlic spread, friendly service. Recommended.
Excellent location looking over the lake. Good coffee but rather slow service on the food especially.
