My friend and I had a really good evening last Tuesday 30th May and the drinks and staff were really great. Could not fault Lloyds at all. But trouble broke out whilst we were there outside in the seating area, when an older man, who was a bully started on a young student boy, he actually had him by the throat. It was awful. The manager Gareth asked the bully to leave and he started on him and started pushing him but he handled the situation calmly and professionally and the bully did actually leave, swearing and spitting. My friends and I were enjoying drinks and laughter when a man suddenly attacked me and tried to steal my handbag! Luckily, a hero came to my rescue - the bartender, who was cleaning tables nearby, sprang into action. He quickly grabbed the man and my handbag, returning it to me. He then escorted the man out of the pub, making it clear that such behavior would not be tolerated. I was so relieved that I cried, but also incredibly grateful for the bartender's quick thinking and kindness. He even made sure my friends and I were safe and offered to escort us out to ensure we were okay.
I seem to recall the last time I had small fish and chips at a Spoons the fish was almost as large as a standard fish. So not feeling too peckish I ordered small, as did three others. The fish was the smallest I've ever been served anywhere and mainly batter. A bog standard fishfinger would have had more fish in it, the other three fish weren't much bigger. On arrival we had to clear the table of drinking glasses and wipe it over. Otherwise about average for a Spoons.

This restaurant is not just the best, it's the absolute best. The quality is amazing and the service is beautiful, with staff who always wear big cheesecake smiles. Have a nice day, and make sure to try the delicious coffeecake too. Plus, they offer quizzes and are conveniently located near the train station. There are also market opportunities nearby. I would give this restaurant ten out of five stars if I could.
I won at the casino's slot machine, but when I went to collect my winnings, they turned off the machine and refused to give me my money. I have never experienced such dishonest behavior before. Additionally, the staff was unfriendly and it felt like they were just trying to steal from customers.
Cheap and cheerful as always but the food was a let down, ordered a burger, came with chips, no salad or sauce, on a dry bun. The curry was nothing special, but the chutney was hot, not sure what that is about. We had not been here for food in a year or so and we were disappointed in the food.
We met family here this time and we all had a good meal which is what you get in a Wetherspoons wherever you go. We had a good table, and the service was excellent as was the food. The staff were really friendly as always and we will be back when in the area, thanks guys.

The Staff are friendly, but the place is full of people (mainly students) vaping. It’s constant. I’ve contacted head office regarding this matter, and they basically said it’s not their problem. We’ve stopped going in since.
Went for breakfast…. No American pancakes or American breakfast so Half the menu unavailable, and what was served was cold!! No ketchup…
