The Lost Cajun- Huntersville

The Lost Cajun I've wanted to try this place for a while now. I finally was able to earlier this week. Boudin Balls (Meat, rice, and flavor, rolled into a ball and fried) I may have to give these another try. They were over cooked on the outside but still tasty on the inside. Most Boudin balls I've tasted have been spicy......these were not. Fish and shrimp platter I started by squeezing my lemon wedge over the fish and shrimp. The seafood was well seasoned, lightly breaded and crispy. Not to salty, not to slimy. I didn't try the cole slaw and the bread was just a hotdog bun cut up, buttered and toasted. Disappointing...the only reason I didn 't give it a 1 star was because of the friendly waitress. The iced tea watermelon lemonade drink was good BUT the seafood gumbo had only 2 tiny shrimp! When I asked the waitress what type of seafood was supposed to be in the gumbo since I couldn 't find any, she mentioned that most of it was shredded ...whatever that means. This is the first Cajun restaurant that I 've seen small portions of food, especially since it 's somewhat pricey. My friend enjoyed her lobster bisque oysters, even though the portions were also not impressive. I won 't be coming back.

Make sure you have time- slow service. The seafood gumbo was sad. It had small pieces of seafood if you are lucky to get some. The burger looked better than my meal. Friendly staff but not coming back anytime soon.

One of the most friendly places to eat great Cajun cuisine in the Charlotte area. Staff is pleasant, bathrooms super clean! Please tip the wait staff generously, they really do work hard for it.

Excellent food and service !! Hadn't been in a while which made it even better!! I had shrimp and grits and my husband had the seafood platter.
