The coffee was fairly small and ended up costing about £6, along with a cider for my friend. I found this quite pricey; the coffee itself was around £3, and while I did enjoy it, I could have found much better value for money at several places just a short walk away. Although this is primarily a bar and restaurant, I wouldn’t choose to eat here based on my past experiences with gluten-free options. I would much prefer Pizza Express or Lime Bar, especially given the high prices here. I can only rate it 2 stars for the nice view and the decent coffee. The Lowry is an arts center that boasts a variety of exhibitions, art installations, a theater, and galleries. After enjoying a performance at the theater, dining at Pier Eight, the restaurant at The Lowry, was a delightful experience. With its stunning waterside views, Pier Eight provides a perfect atmosphere for relaxation. We had plenty of time to unwind while eating, allowing us to chat and reflect on how much we enjoyed the show.
We visited the Julia and Axel exhibition at the Lowry. It is a free exhibition and is fantastic for all ages. It also includes the L.S. Lowry exhibition which is well worth a visit. You can easily spend a full day here because there is so much to see. It is ideal for kids to visit during the summer holidays and it is on until the start of January 2024. It is a well planned exhibition. Full marks to the organisers.
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea, which was fabulous. Our daughter, Joanne, treated us to this lovely experience for our wedding anniversary. Visited for the MAPAS Showcase. All staff were polite and friendly. Big enough building, however, was crowded as there were a few events on at the same time. Was served at the bar fast. However, there wasn't a variety of soft drinks. Seats were comfortable in the arena halls, with plenty of space.
