The Magic Scoop General Store

EXCELLENT store with amazing artistic talent and visual appeal. This store rocks fron the bottom shelves to the 2nd floor game rooms! Knives, purses, toys, trinkets, jewelry, hats, paintings and so much more. There are plenty of selections for ice creamand coffee, and the staff are super-friendly! Before you leave to visit the glass public toilets across the street (the firstmade in the USA), check out the two upstairs rooms with games on both sides. One of the best ice cream shops i have ever been to. The ice creams are great and supersized. We loved tasting different flavors and finally decided to get the mango sorbet and Rum Raisins. Both of them were exceptional. We ate the ice cream upstairs in the lounge which had plenty of seating areas and several board games. The staff is very friendly and service was quick.The store is huge and they have a great collection of merchandise.

What a hidden treasure! The ice cream here is simply amazing, freshly made in-store with a variety of stunning flavors, some of which can be taken home in pints. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is delightful, featuring both outdoor seating and windowfront views of the charming downtown Sulphur Springs. Additionally, the shop offers a great selection of gift and novelty items, making it a must-visit destination.

The only downside for me at Magic Scoop is the maze of retail items that take up a lot of space that could otherwise be used for seating, making navigation through the store a bit tricky. It's especially challenging to get to the bathroom when there are more than a few customers inside. Fortunately, the location on the square provides ample outdoor seating that isn't crowded. Reminiscent of old time ice cream store. Best ice cream for many miles around. Large variety of home made icream flavors and pastries and baked goods served by a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Amazing variety of geegaws and funky stuff. Good place for light meals and snacks at the few small eating spots. Eat outdoors on the square if you want. Highly recommended.

You won't find better ice cream anywhere else in the continental United States. The seasonal Girl Scout cookie flavors are worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize. I often find myself dreaming of their Honey Lavender and Malted Milk Ball flavors. Definitely a 10/5 stars!

There are countless ice cream flavors available, and the bourbon flavor is exceptional. They also offer several dairy-free options for anyone with a dairy allergy! The frappes and iced coffees are the best in town!
