This was our second visit to The Main Kitchen and it won't be our last. The dining room is cozy, with just a few tables, but still elegant. And the menu is always interesting. Last night we tried the octopus with polenta appetizer (loved it!), osso bucco and black cod for main dishes. The cod, the daily special, was cooked perfectly and had a pineapple habanero relish that was sweet and spicy and complemented the fish perfectly. It was a real treat. The osso bucco with risotto was also excellent. For dessert we tried the cannoli (good) and lemon tart with frozen grape nuggets of awesomeness (amazing). Our excellent waiter, Lorenzo, helped us choose each course and provided top-notch service...

We hosted an event for family and friends (party of 30) to celebrate our parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. MJ & Tino and their service team were simply fantastic throughout ! Everything from the personalized pre-planning, menu preparation, the lobby reception along with the mouth savoring appetizers to the dining experience was superb ... Guests could not stop raving about how great the food was in terms of quantity and quality ... simply delicious and memorable ! Thank you to the entire Main Kitchen team for making this event so special for us ...

We stopped here by chance on our way home from a family visit to Montreal -- and had a superb supper from a diverse and imaginative menu. The Main Kitchen has a small and comfortable atmosphere, with an old world feel. But its food is edgy and very interesting - I had a fine risotto and excellent butter-nut ravioli while my daughter had a very flavourful shrimp dish and my wife ate a first-rate, back-to-basics beer battered fish and chips. We drank our own chilled bottle of Australian chardonnay with the meal.

I had a big crowd of people over and not much energy to cook. I stopped in here at the last minute and for a great price had a gourmet meal for 8 people! At a fraction of the cost of what I would have...More
