"We were taken here by a friend who lives in Sydney, the restaurant was hidden from the harbour front by boarding as there was work being done on the front. The food was the best Malaysian food we had tasted, the service was great and at a reasonable price."

Went here for a second time with family for a small birthday dinner.Food was great, service was great.Great fusion of all Asian style dishes. It is quite focused on spice as a few dishes had chilli in it but there are plenty without. The chilli chicken wings were great for entree. And that wasn't spicy. It has a nice tingling taste and the sauce was great. And I'm not a big chilli person. We had lamb roti entree, that was quite spicy for me so it wasn't my favourite. The lamb korma was great.Salt and pepper squid was yum. It was more on the salty side which I didn't mind. Also had the chicken panang, me goring noodles and chicken san choy bau. That was yum.Cocktails were also yum. I had a crushe...

This is probably my fourth visit to this restaurant and I felt that the quality has dropped a little since my last visit 6 years ago. The hainan chicken was a disappointment. Would have elevated the dish if they had some soy sauce to go with it but the rice was nice and fragrant. The beef curry or massaman curry as they call it was tasty with chunk of tender meat. Szechuan eggplant was good as well. We also had chicken with chilli and lemongrass and this was the worse dish of the night. There was no hint of lemongrass at all in the dish. Just tasted like chicken "sambal". Would have been better if chicken was deep fried and tossed with lemongrass and chilli. I can't fault on their service. F...

My Australian relatives invited me to this top class Asian restaurant. It's not cheap. But it is on Darling Harbor and has a nice view of the harbor and ships in the evenings. The food and starters were freshly prepared and of excellent quality. I liked it very much. The service was very friendly and attentive, although it was very busy. The menu offers a variety of Asian dishes. The ambience is very pleasant! I liked it very much and it tasted good.

I've been loyal customer for a long time. Everything about the Malaya menu is awesome. The consistency in terms of the quality and taste of the food is fabulous with a fantastic view to boot. I bring overseas and local friends here all the time and we always leave full and happy. We just love it!I'll keep coming back again... and again... as The Malaya never ever disappoints !
