The Mall - Reservar una mesa

We were visiting the area for the evening and I made some effort to research where to go before we arrived. I went for The Mall based on the information on their website, including the photos and what looked like a lovely menu. When we arrived the menu was different and not in a good way! We were the only table on a Thursday evening near Christmas which maybe should have been a sign. The food arrived quite quickly and could only be described as barely adequate. And certainly not worth the money. I ordered a vegan dessert and when it arrived it very clearly wasn’t vegan. Luckily I don’t actually have an allergy to dairy but I could well have done. This was a very expensive mistake.

We made a reservation for a table of 9 at 5:30pm in order to dine at a reasonable time with a small child in our group. However, we were disappointed when our food did not arrive until after 7pm. The menu consisted of simple burger and chips meals, yet the food was overcooked, dry, and served in small portions. The bar had a long queue with only one person serving, and there was no table service for food or drinks. Overall, our experience was not pleasant and we do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

to stay in the opposite and decided to visit the mall. not the best decision we made, as it was the most involuntary. it seems that the parking lot has been called outside the food/drink area due to the recent pandemic and that is understandable. but improve the signs to say there is no parking space. the staff was undisturbed and the pub/restaurant was empty. decided not to eat, had a quick drink and went. will not be back.

the best part of being was the magnificent sunshine! sat outside in a contrast of spacious tables on artificial turf pretty made, but a pity its so close to the busy road. the personal was a little vague. Service/food all satisfactorily, but nothing special. the vegan burger lacked more in textur only a moss really. toilets were not very clean and had no soap at all (covid precautions!? don't think we're coming back.

Ate here about 6 times this year. Every Time the food has delicious and the staff could not have been nicer. Tonight the hunters chicken was half the size in previous visits but will still return. Dog friendly in the main bar well worth a visit . Can't honestly understand the poor reviews.
