The Man In The Wall

Went to the pub on 6th Sept. We really like the pub and it was a goto pub for great food and atmosphere. So we went there. This was a Tuesday steak night. Large mixed grill and my wife had lasagne with garlic bread. So what did we get? Garlic bread which was dripping garlic butter yes dripping! Steak was under done and cold! Really now dont want to any weatherspoons it was that bad. Also btw when we left an order of blue cheese something was being delivered and the waitress said god this is awefull! Good selling plan :

Been going here for years with mainly better than average experience. This evening though 8 of us with one five month old baby were asked to leave just after 9pm due to the no under 18 rule. What an absolute joke went to the olive branch and gave them our money until closing time. Maybe some further training required for the waitress as she must be affecting their profits.

The service is good When there last was in outside area near the kitchen had a coffee in garden unfortunately experienced shouting foul language and very offensive banter in a shouting volume. I thought it was customers having a disagreement was surprised to see it was coming from the kitchen staff not very growen Up or expected be it at work or in society in general

Do not have the fish and chips, it was awful, the fish was over cooked , so dry and not edible and the fryer needed an oil change as the batter was almost black. The staff are so laid back , it was a wonder anyone was working at all. Really disappointed

It was busier than the Nightworm in the neighboring city of Fardale. I ordered a pint of Shipyard for £2.49 at the table (since there was no bar service available). There are some nice pieces on the wall (see photos). Definitely worth a visit!

Overcharged and then had a job to get it refunded. Made me feel like I'd made the mistake when it was all down to them putting the order through wrong. Food was OK but no atmosphere. Alright if you're after cheap but not cheerful

Great pub with a round layout. It's a Wetherspoon, so you can expect the usual affordable and familiar menu. The restrooms are clearly marked, and the staff is consistently polite. The food is served very quickly.

Classic spoons, never a bad experience. Great open plan venue, friendly staff. Everything you would expect from a whetherspoons. However, small beer garden enclosed.

it is a weather spoon so good value for food and drink. we had fish chips, it was great! outdoor seats, though preferably also a small parking space.

The food was nice, and the staff were friendly. However, they could have done a better job cleaning the tables since it wasn't very busy.
