The Maypole Thaxted

I had my 50th birthday at the Maypole! DJ and food laid on by the staff it was amazing I got there early to set up with my friends and the staff there helped out and I even had my hair straightened as I was getting ready by Michelle behind the bar which was super helpful!!! (Great job too) The party was amazing everyone had the most amazing time. We went back for a yummy lunch today and everything was perfect again!! Vince , Leon and the staff are absolutely amazing!!! Thank you so much!!! Shall I reserve the date for my 60th now???

The restaurant offers delicious and honest food at affordable prices. It's a rare find, and I wish more restaurants would follow suit. The restaurant is not crowded on Monday evenings, making it a perfect time to visit. The service can be a bit overwhelming at times. Prices range from £10 to £20 per person. I would give the food and service a rating of 4, but the atmosphere could use some improvement, so I would rate it a 2.

We celebrated a 70th birthday at this restaurant and Vince and Leon were fantastic hosts. The venue was great, the food was delicious, and there was great music in a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend this place! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
