This restaurant was recently voted best curry house in Britain and certainly the food and the service is fine, but there are many better places to eat in Greater Manchester. I would say it's above average but nothing amazing I'm afraid. It has the longest menu I have ever seen, which is a negative when it comes to Asian cooking and although the food was good (apart from a dreadful naan) it was pretty expensive. Most dishes were £14.95, with rice extra which compared with the takeaway price for the same dish at £9.95, seems pretty heavily marked up. Be warned, they only accept cash, even though you can use your card for takeaways. Happy to order a meal to pick up but don't think I can fully r...

We decided to try this place after they recently won an award but sadly the food did not match the service and ambience. Our tandoori starters were smothered in a bland red sauce with onions and when my Wife’s main meal came it was lukewarm and had to be returned to the kitchen. For some reason her Chicken Tikka Biriyani came with a shed load of raw onions. The tikka was in tiny tiny pieces and tasted very dry. My King Prawn Balti was ok but the sauce was uninspiring. The service and cleanliness was excellent just a shame the food did not match it.

The wait for our food was long and when it arrived, it was not piping hot. The Bindi gosht curry was dry and the lamb was tasteless and overcooked. The portions were small and did not stand out in presentation. The chicken korma lacked flair and the mixed grill was overpriced. The Keema rice and chapattis were good, but the naan breads could use some fresh coriander. The salad accompaniments were lacking in color. Overall, the restaurant was overrated despite winning an award.

Following news that this place had just been named as the country's best curry house we decided to try. The curries we ordered were tasty, not swimming in oil and good size portions .The service was excellent. Even though it was slightly more expensive, you pay for quality. Will definitely be going back again.
