My friend and I went on a Thursday night and the revamped restaurant was nearly empty. It looks great, has a great feel. The menu was extensive and we were very keen. We both ordered the Beef and Guiness pie. Sadly the pastry was soggy...and the roast veggies very dry. The young woman serving us seemed very bored, needed constant prompting; we were not asked if we needed a refill on our drinks, nor if we wanted dessert. Our finished plates and empty glasses sat in front of us for wayyyyy too long. She definitely needs an update on customer service. Looking at other reviews maybe we just got a bad night. I am willing to try again.
My mother and I were visiting from Victoria and we decided to visit the Moonah Hotel for dinner. The prices were very good. For example, if you ordered a grilled steak main meal your second meal was at a reduced price. My mother ordered a...T-bone steak and she was impressed. I had a chicken schnitzel which was fresh and enormous. We both enjoyed the tasty chips, salad and gravy provided too. A decent pub meal overall.
Yesterday I met a couple of friends for Lunch at Jimmy D's in the Moonah Hotel. The restaurant has been updated and looking fresh. There was a great variety on the menu and the serves were generous. Service was prompt and friendly.Quiet atmosphere and easy...parking.
It was a windy and cold wet weather and the Moonah Hotel was not far away to seek refuge. We had a snack at at Jimmy D's in the Moonah Hotel. The prices were reasonable and the service was efficient and so was the coffee....We definitely will return.

Went for dinner with some friends since new management a revamp, much better vibe now staff are very friendly obliging. Once all the new things settle in I think this is going to be a great choice for dining for all types...of people.
KEEP AWAY no menus except on wall no staff to serve, dirty carpets in dining room ,well overpriced for the menu on wall. no atmosphere more like a funeral parlor abusive if you complain
Cmon Garry pay your bills. Not sure about your food but your a terrible payer you must be running out of suppliers from what I’m hearing
No menus on tables no one to greet or help ignored.never got a menu was told on the wall is all they had gone down hill bad.

Great selection of food; squid was exceptional. Staff friendly and attentive. Great value menu; we will be back
I supplied them with packaging but they won’t pay me I have called the owner numerous times he doesn’t care
