Went for dinner on a Saturday night in December and selected from the Christmas menu. Mistake one. Cold turkey, hard sprouts and 1 carrot and 1 parsnip between 2 adults. Mistake two. Nearly 2 hours to deliver a 2 course meal, obviously down to booking in as many people as they can to gain profit. Mistake three. Why would a head chef let anything like this leave the kitchen? Surely a so called premium restaurant would have a head chef to stop this happening? Mistake four. Wrote to manager who stated next time we visit, we need to mention this bad experience and they will make sure we have a perfect experience this time. The menu sounded good and thought it be something a bit better than average pub grub. Sadly it wasn’t. Started with around of drinks one water, one alcohol free beer, one wine and one v&t that came in at just under £28! Ordered starters which were ok and mains appeared before the starter plates had been cleared. Mains sea bass and chicken were just ok. The dirty burger at nearly £18 was a huge disappointment with what seemed like a cheap burger in a cheap roll with cheap processed cheese.
Had a pleasant Sunday Roast with friends. Their food was ok but my pork dinner was disappointing. Not much meat, vegetables luke warm, roast potatoes as hard as bullets almost and Yorkshire Pudding dry and flaky, with no gravy on it. To be fair, I've been here many times in the past and been satisfied. Good service.
Went here for Xmas eve party of 4 great food great service from Lisa thoroughly enjoyable evening would certainly recommend only complaint was to say it was Xmas eve they could do more decorations and make it more festive

The atmosphere and service were amazing and the food didn’t disappoint. The presentation of everything was simply perfect. Taste was unbelievable and it’s clear only the best ingredients used. Thanks you to everyone.

Great pub with a nice atmosphere, nice selection of beers and friendly staff. A bit pricey to say the least which is why it loses a star.
