Food was decent but had prepackaged mixes and overall nothing special. You have way better options in Woodside at a similar price range without the long drive into the mountain. FOOD: No bread before meal. Pastries were an additional add-on. All the pastries were of a cakey texture — really surprised that there were no puff pastries at all. Eat among the redwood trees but indoors on this cozy place. Reservations are always good, but i noticed people eating at the bar. We saw Santa and one of his lady elves dropping by. He is a bit early, but maybe he is checking out who is naughty and nice. We got seating on the tree side. They do light up some trees outside but hard to tell since the reflection of lights from the window was hard to see. We got two slices of complimentary bread. Extras will cost you $5. It is in a beautiful location. It took us 45 minutes to drive there. There is a lot of parking, but it was all filled we had to squeeze in along the side of the road. We arrived 10 minutes early but would not seat us. When they, they placed us in the room with the fire place. I think they need to have it looked at or open up the damper more. There was a very smokey smell (which can interfere with your taste). If you have breathing issues you may want to eat skip this place. My throat was soar by the end of our meal. Atmosphere was so-so. Wow...just wow. Food was incredible. Service top notch. They started a 3 course price fix menu that looks delicious in the dining room. I chose to eat off the bar menu tonight. Pumpkin soup was incredible. Pear salad tasty. They let us order an item from price fixe even though we were in the bar. Had a long conversation with Will the owner. So much insight. Every thing was delicious. I want to go back again and again to keep trying everything on the menu. Try it out..you will be very happy.

It was a good experience. The food was decent, I had the short rib which was good and my wife had the trout which was a little under cooked for her liking. They have a great bar with good drinks. The fun part about this spot is the drive up to skyline in a remote location in the redwood forest and out of the city. Great spot for a special occasion. Service: Dine in
We love coming to this special place for dinner, the chef's have outdone themselves, the food could not be tastier an the presentation awesome. They have kept the feel of the place the same as it has been for years which we love. A special place we love to visit and enjoy thoroughly each time we dine there.
Family decided to stop for the first time. I look forward to returning with an appetite as everything looked delicious. Tonight my friend ordered a mixed drink I just sipped on tea. Service was fast and the restaurant smelled delicious. Cozy spot in the middle of the woods.
Absolute Michelin Material. Eat here. Especially considering all the challenges this place faced opening, as mentioned in the SF Gate Article. Unforgettable dining experience.
