After a great night out in Fremantle, a few friends and family members of mine went out to the National for a few drinks. After a couple of rounds, I hadn't looked at my bank account and realised I was a few dollars short for the round. After apologising profusely that I couldn't afford one of the drinks in the round, the barmaid asked yelled at us, told us we had to figure out a way to pay for it and then asked me how much money was in my account before charging me my entire account balance because she had to make the drink and then pour it out, even though the drink total, (which I could see on the till in front of us) was less than the amount she charged us. Went upstairs and stood by the wait here to be seated sign for a short time while both waiters just looked at us. Quick service once at table for our orders. Photo shows $15 steak special. All enjoyed our meals. Drinks good. Came out promptly. Nice place quite posh. Be lovely sitting out on the verandah on a warmer night. Waiter could have cracked a smile. Did bare minimum really. Never came to ask how our meals were etc & when we went to pay he printed out invoice for the other waiter then walked off, didn't look in our direction or thank us although he had been our sole waiter all night. Security man outside was friendly.
We called in here for dinner after a movie then a walk around historic Freo. The Sunday special of steak and chips looked good so we went for that and we weren't disappointed. The steaks came out just the way we ordered and the chips were like home made ones. My wife really liked the dressing on the salad. They also have a great range of local craft beers and the imported ones. A lovely place on a Sunday evening.
Six of us went here last Saturday and enjoyed an awesome meal!. Everything was of a reasonable size at a great price. Drinks were not overpriced and at around $75 per couple for dinner and drinks, there were definitely no complaints! The ribs and pork belly were fantastic and my mate said his parmi was the best he's ever had. If you're looking for a casual pub atmosphere, you really can't go wrong!

Mothers Day on the verandah, overlooking fab Freo.We so enjoyed it. Staff great. Food, good variety and everyone very happy.Hilarious hearing the punters downstairs barracking for the Dockers. First distress, then joy and finally hysteria as they won by 2 points.National is a wonderful example of what can be done to restore and retain the magnificent heritage.My go-to place. Love it.

The waitress who took our order really could not be bothered serving us. We ordered the National burger and it came with soggy chips. I suffered the next day with an upset stomach. Not impressed.
I love this p[lace, I have had great experiences here. My cousin Oliver was having a beer here and it had a great vibe, in the late afternoon. I'd return, for sure!

Love this place! I mistakenly went here instead of The Local for a friends birthday and a met some awesome women and a couple of super cool dudes!
great food went for lunch .best pub ive had nice atmosphere centre of town great value$15 for a great lunch hard to beat
