As others have pointed out, portions are tiny for the price of the food, a thimble of Coleslaw with a £15 burger is very odd, as is no sauce on the burger, leading to a dry burger, which is not what i expect for £15.50, the beef patty was of good quality, but served on a slip of lettuce, a tiny slice of tomato and zero sauce offered or given, seems lazy from the kitchen to me,, leading to a bland burger. My daughters burger was a kids burger, £8, no sauce, no salad, just bap and burger, which again lead to a dry burger. I will add that the chips and garlic bread with cheese were lovely. For me, if a posh pub cannot put out tasty burgers, I 'm guessing the kitchens got problems. Don 't get me...

Cold February mid week evening..warm wood burning stove, lovely country pub , good choice of food , friendly staff my only reason for 4/5 is , we’d have liked an option of smaller or lighter meals , which we believe is a must for older people or people who can’t face large meals, or have dietary preferences..sadly very quiet, but that’s winter

This is our go to place for an excellent Sunday lunch experience. Both the food and the hosts are fantastic. Never rushed, polite and helpful staff, really good food all locally sourced. I cannot rate this place 6 stars but I would if I could.

A very nice experience, a table of five good food great service and good selection of hand pulled ales to choose from a large garden with lots of uncrowded seating area
