The New Inn - Reserva de mesa

Sweet old pub in super quiet location. Nutcha so polite and friendly. Husband cooks. This is not fast food, but delicious. Crab was on special, baguette or salad. Salad imaginative with fruits. Also home-made potato salad, very good. My husband had the burger, which he enjoyed, with excellent chips, which we all picked at. Interesting old photos, cosy old fireplace. A proper old-style pub, with modern cooking. All it lacks is a cat! The village now has good parking by the playing field, walk down from there to pub and admire the lovely church (open in day-time) and old cottages, some with pretty gardens.

We came for lunch and were delighted to be offered some menu items very different from the usual pub lunch menus. We began with spicy Korean squid. Fabulous flavours, and plenty to share as a starter. Next we had Thai chicken curry pies, served with chips and peas. Delicious! The couple who own the pub came to talk to us -she is Thai and took time to tell us how she prepares and cooks the food. I wish we lived closer so could come here again! It was a delightful experience- they were such lovely hosts and we so enjoyed our lunch. If you wish for more usual fare it is also available.

Myy sister and I were on holiday in Devon and agreed to meet our Nephew who is working close by and agreed to meet for lunch. We found The New Inn by searching online and were not disappointed. We received a warm welcome. It was a rainy day and the fire was lit. We all ordered a Sunday lunch which was lovely. The owners were very accommodating to our requests. The meal was very reasonably priced and affordable for families on a tight budget (approx £7 for a child's portion). Desserts were good too. My Nephew was so impressed he booked for the folling Sunday there and then.

This restaurant is a fantastic and welcoming place! We stopped by for dinner on the third day of our vacation in Devon and were so impressed that we returned on days 4, 5, and 6. Tim and Nutcha are excellent hosts who made us feel right at home, as did the friendly locals in the bar and the cozy log fire. The food is delicious, with unique items like pung-plng (a Thai honey bread) and a tasty venison stew, all at reasonable prices. This village pub is your typical local spot with a great selection of real ales. I decided to try the Korean spicy chicken with squid for starters, based on a recommendation, and I was not disappointed. The starters were delicious and cooked perfectly. For my main course, I opted for fish and chips, which turned out to be the best I've ever had - I cleaned my plate completely! The prices were reasonable and overall, I couldn't find anything to fault. A fantastic dining experience.

The new inn had a fish and chip supper night 29/9/23 Outstanding infact the best fish and chip I've had for a long time. The fish was so fresh, and the batter was light and crispy. Well done Tim and natcha.

The charming village pub offers a delectable and reasonably priced Sunday roast. The food and service were excellent, and I would definitely recommend trying the pung ping (Thai dessert).

Absolutely fantastic food , really great atmosphere but the honey toast is the very best thing about the meal !!
