The Landlady greeted my friend and I as soon as we walked in. What a lovely welcome. As we were staying DBB locally, we did not want a lot to eat but as the Dinner where we were staying was not very good, thought a top up advisable. The menu was good and well priced but not quite what we wanted , (it did look good though . We told the lovely Lady that all I wanted was a salad and my friend a sandwich. No problem she told us what meats she had available for both the salad and sandwich. Both came and were delicious, no pre sliced vacuum packed meat here (I am a retired Home Economist . Bar staff pleasant and engaging and customers chatted to us. I do this at my local when any strangers come in...
The Sunday lunch at this restaurant was excellent, with great service and the best Sunday roast I've had in a long time. I couldn't find any faults with it. Sandra, our server, went above and beyond for us. We will definitely be returning. The desserts were delicious, with a great selection of classic choices.
After enjoying a pleasant stroll along the river Wye on a beautiful sunny day, we arrived slightly early at the restaurant. Despite this, the hostess went out of her way to welcome us and ensure we were seated and served promptly. We were truly grateful for her exceptional hospitality.
Welcoming staff, pleasant unpretentious individual dining pub. Proper Sunday roast with lashings of gravy, our friends said it was the best beef in years. Home made Mars cheesecake and bread and butter puddings went down a treat. Thank you Sandra and staff your locals are very lucky.

This is a friendly, family pub/restaurant with a homey feel about it. The Sunday lunches are very tasty and great value for money. And all washed down with a couple of pints of Hobsons . Five stars all day long!
We had a family gathering for Sunday lunch. The roast beef was so tender and the sticky toffee pudding is the best we’ve found anywhere. The landlady, Sandra, is always very welcoming. Heartily recommended!
We have had a delightful meal in lovely surroundings. Staff really friendly and helpful. If you are a veggie, check in as they have extra items that aren't on the menu and I adore their veg lasangne
This traditional pub serves delicious homemade food with friendly staff and good service. The prices are reasonable and I would definitely come back.

I almost gave a five. If 4.5 had been an option I would have scored that! Lovely, friendly and timely service. Good food and a very reasonable price.
Called in for food it was lovely and very reasonably priced. Nice friendly atmosphere a proper local pub.. highly recommend
