HORRIBLE BIRTHDAY EXPERIENCE. I was extremely disappointed after my reservation and dinner at Noble Lion. I had made the reservation to celebrate my birthday and a recent promotion with my career. I had a pleasant experience with the young bartender who attended to me and my partner as we waited for our table to be ready. He assisted us with a round of drinks and an appetizer. When our table was ready we were rushed to make space at the bar which was not done so in a hospitable manner. We sat at our table and I let our waitress know it was my birthday and we were celebrating and she did not acknowledge this comment as she seemed visibly upset we closed out our tab with the bartender. This one star is not for the waitstaff, they were amazing. It is not for the food. The scallops were delicious and other food items were very good. The one star is for the owner. He was rude to us. We knew we needed a reservation, but stopped by on the chance we might get in. Instead of thanking us for coming in, he stated the was no way we were getting inside. The waitress had already given us our options. We chose to eat outside even though it was chilly. Not once did the owner stop by our table asking how our meal was. He walked by several times with a scowl on his face. He never acknowledged us. Very disappointed customer from Lincoln Nebraska. Do better.
A Noble review. The Noble Lion and it’s staff take great care and attention to detail with everything they do. With a creative menu that changes seasonally, there is usually always something new to try. Cocktail favorites: Blood Orange Manhattan, J L Cocktail, Raspberry Mule Small plate favorites: Gouda Curds, Noble Wings, Grilled Caesar Salad Medium plate favorites: Buffalo Shrimp, Scallops and Bacon, Calamari Large plate favorites: Pan Seared Halibut, French Onion Burger, Duck Scallops (pictured) Dessert favorites: Creme Brulee, Carrot Cake I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time as it tends to fill up pretty quick.
Stuffy, space. Snooty staff, overpriced food, for mediocre fatty tasting dishes. Definitely needs a revamp on pricing. Our server was rushed. It wasn't too busy for grough staff. Descriptions need to be worked over again to fit the clientele. People travel far wide for food here. We sat next to a couple who had traveled all the way from Maple Grove for the food walked away thinking I could have gotten this in my own town without the high price. We agree. This is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is amazing, the service is top notch, and it keeps my family and I coming back! I’ve tried many different things on their menu, and all of them are delicious. I’d recommend the mussels, halibut, either of the steak entrees, or the scallops. Honestly you can’t go wrong! And save room for dessert because they are all fabulous! One of the best places around!
This restaurant is truly one-of-a-kind. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. It's great to have a high-quality restaurant in the neighborhood where you can enjoy a meal without having to drive all the way to Minneapolis. I can't wait to go back and try the Lions Den on my next visit.
