We had just a lovely meal here this evening as a family. My husband and I ordered the steak open ciabatta (fillet) from the specials menu and the steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned exactly right. The children had the pasta and pizza which were great as kids meals. Nice wine list, great atmosphere, and the service cannot be faulted. Friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We’ve not eaten here for a while, not sure why, but will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Good atmosphere and friendly staff, however I had the Blackened salmon tonight, very disappointed with portion size and content. everyone else's meal was fine. I explained same to the manageress who showed no empathy and in fact defended the meal, this was more disappointing the the poor portion I received. I told her I wasn't after a reduction in payment, but she kept defending the meal, clearly me going home hungry after pay a nearly £100 meal did not concern her.
Can I give 6 starts for service, food and atmosphere? No, shame. Every single staff member is attentive, friendly hospitable. Food is always on point I wish a had a larger stomach to try every dish on the menu. Many thanks Oaks, we will be back next time we visit Ireland!
The restaurant was absolutely fantastic beautiful meal service was of first class I will definitely be going back really enjoyed it I would definitely recommend it to anyone

It was very cold the day my sister's/ I went , it's probably better to go in the evening time as the place would have more customers and the heat would be on .
Superb. My son and I came here for the first time. The food was superb. I enjoyed everything. It is a bit of the beaten track but well worth the detour.
The oaks is amazing ,food is great and staff are so friendly. The place itself is has a very homely atmosphere
Food was excellent. Four person table. Service including food was fantastic after coming highly recommended.
