The Old Crown - Reserva de mesa

My friend and I used The Old Crown purely as it was one of only a couple of pubs we found in Hayes, the other being a Wetherspoons. After being served a couple of pints of Stella Artois we found a table that was sticky with seats that were tatty and then we decided to put a few tunes on the juke box. We got talking to a few regulars and it was then that the landlord came over and said that we had caused trouble in here last week and we were to go. This pub has recently be under new management of a company called Craft Union ,the pub itself has always been nice, however recently coming in i have had the amazing chance to experience the pub at its best. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the pub and even had fun listening and singing on the karaoke tunes. I then sent one of my colleagues in on a Saturday night and was told there was a fantastic DJ playing that night.I read through some of the reviews but have been shocked by the ones that have reported the pub as terrible. The regulars were talking about the place being under new management. The management was tending bar. If food is served here, I was unaware of it. We came in past the supper hour. Although we weren't the usual patrons, we were made to feel welcome. There is a wide variety of music on the jukebox. It was nice sitting outside under the canopy. I don't drink much, I sipped on one shot of Jameson both nights besides my Pepsi. It was served to me properly, not in a shot glass. My friend, a local, enjoyed his favorite beer on tap. This pub, which has been under new management since 2018, has a great atmosphere. They offer karaoke every Friday, two pints per race on Race days, Golden Oldies with bingo and dominoes on Thursdays, and free pool every Monday. If you fancy bad beer and semi-hostile drunks, this is your destination. Complete with grotty posters, patrons engaging you in indecipherable conversation and a blinking gambling machine, it is right out of A Clockwork Orange. Who knew England still had bad beer anywhere!

I visited this restaurant with my friends on a Friday night. Karaoke was happening and the drinks were very affordable! The place has been renovated and the staff was really friendly. I will definitely be going back again.

We enjoyed our first meal and experience so much that we returned twice during our girls' trip. The restaurant offers different specials each day, which we were able to enjoy on both visits.

The food here was not great may have been our choices but very poor quality. Ordered southern fried goujons which were not southern fried and tasteless chips were dreadful

popped in for a drink with a couple of friends. Lovely service. Abhaw was a lovely host. Had a good laugh and a great time! Smashing time!
