The Old George - Reservar una mesa

We used to love going to the Old George, especially for their Sunday roast. However we found that over the past few months their prices have increased a lot. We went last week and we spent over £30 per person for a roast and a pint, which seems excessive. The food was lovely, but the portions were a bit scarce, especially for the vegetables, only a few green beans and a couple of potatoes. It's a shame, we love the place but it's now quite expensive for what is being served. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Perfect little pub. Quiet. Good music in the back ground. Good food, fast service. Lovely greeting from gent at the bar, very friendly, definitely recommend a visit. We ordered chicken burger and fries. The chicken was real chicken breast slices and seasoned well.. very surprising as we expected reformed breaded chicken burger . Food perfection. Had a really nice lunch of sausages mash and the day's special of chicken thighs with parmentier potatoes. Everything was delicious. It may cost a couple of pounds more than your average pub but the generous portions and quality of the ingredients were well worth it. And everything was topped off by a friendly barman. Lovely old building, staff were friendly and there's plenty of space. They were doing a special BBQ event so the normal food was unavailable, so on that basis I won't score the food. We'll be back! Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
