The Old Jail Pub - Reserva de mesa

The Old Jail in Biggin Hill is a truly charming traditional English pub that offers delicious food and a great variety of drinks. It features both indoor and outdoor seating, with a spacious garden that includes some play equipment for children. There is also a reasonably sized parking area; however, some mobile networks may experience poor reception, so you might need to walk down the road to find a signal. On chilly nights, the bar is particularly inviting with its warm open fire. The pub's name is likely derived from its history of occasionally housing prisoners during their journey from London to Maidstone, which used to take two days by horse and carriage.

I visited this pub again in September 2022, and the food was excellent. Unfortunately, on this visit, it was just mediocre. The halloumi burger and fries were lukewarm and not nearly as enjoyable as before. The Oreo cheesecake was served in a glass instead of as a slice, which threw off the proportions. I had hoped this place would become our go-to spot for special occasions, but now I'm not so certain.

We had an amazing Christmas lunch for our group of 18 this past Christmas, and I must thank Michael and the staff for making it so special. The food was outstanding, and the staff were attentive, welcoming us with Buck's Fizz upon arrival. The venue was warm and cozy, filled with festive decorations. Thank you for a lovely experience! Highly recommended—10/10!

I absolutely love this pub! It used to be my local hangout many years ago, so it was wonderful to come back and enjoy a pint here after such a long time. Not much has changed, which is a nice touch. I attended a quiz night, and it was great fun—plus, the staff were lovely. I definitely recommend it! Reserva una mesa ahora

Fantastic “Inn” to visit. The food is exceptional especially the Steak. Lovely atmosphere. So many beautiful plates, pictures from the War years. It’s a must and cannot wait to go back.

This pub is incredibly disrespectful to its neighbors with the loud music it plays during the summer. Until this issue is addressed, I can't see it in any other light.
